Perched on the water’s edge of the Wild Atlantic Coast the Connemara Smokehouse is Connemara’s longest established smokehouse and a leading manufacturer of high quality seafood, using only traditional methods.

“We are one of the few remaining smokehouses specialising in Wild Salmon. From this we produce smoked salmon, gravadlax, Roast and Honey Roast smoked Irish Salmon. In 1998 we began using ‘organically grown’ Irish salmon and this has become an important part of our production today.”

The Connemara Smokehouse is a Traditional Family Business owned and run by Graham Roberts and his wife Saoirse. The Company was founded in 1979 by Graham’s parents John & Bridget using a smoking plant that was first commissioned in 1946 which we still use today.

Traditional production methods and very high quality products have been the company’s priorities.

Having worked in the Smokehouse from an early age, Graham has a vast knowledge of every aspect of the business. He now runs the business and has introduced some new ideas and products of his own which have gained world-renown and have won many prestigious Awards and recognition.
