Pierre Perret is a famous French singer and gourmet is a regular visitor to the smokehouse to have fishes he catches in the Corrib smoked. We recently featuresd in a documentary about his holidays in Ireland.

Rachel Allen is a Dubliner who left home at eighteen to study at the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School. Rachel is now a busy TV chef, author, journalist and mother, and still teaches at Ballymaloe.

Clodagh McKenna also trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School, worked as a chef in Ballymaloe House for 3 years before setting up her own stall at a local market as well as developing other farmers markets around Ireland. She has her own weekly column for the Irish Examiner, fortnightly column for The Mail on Sunday, and a monthly column for Food and Wine Magazine.
