Shipping and Delivery Rates

Please read before purchasing. Below is a more general guide.

We use DPD for shipments within Ireland and U.K., small quantities are possible by post, please ask for details.

We use DHL & DPD for Europe Zone 1, DHL & UPS for rest of Europe and UPS for U.S.A. Tracking numbers will be sent to you automatically provided we have your valid email address.

All our smoked fish products keep in our insulated boxes for 3/4 days without being chilled during Summer months, and 5/6 days during the Winter months, which is usually the maximum time your order needs to get to its destination.  On arrival, you can refrigerate or freeze immediately and you will be able to enjoy it in all it’s culinary beauty!

We dispatch on Mondays and Tuesdays only. There is no despatch on Public Holidays.

DPD delivers usually within 24 hours in Ireland, 48 hours to U.K. and 72 hours to Europe. DHL is 48/72 hours for most European destinations. Please allow 72 hours for deliveries to non-European destinations.

For smaller quantities, An Post may be cheaper. Please ask for details…

We cannot deliver to Australia/New Zealand.

Your shipment

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

Boxes are amply sized and your items are well-protected.

Delivery Schedule

We are not responsible for any delays in delivery due to local holidays at the destination. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that the scheduled delivery date does not fall on a holiday and that the delivery is not delayed by a holiday during the delivery period.

Correct address and contact phone details must be supplied. All orders must include the post code and the contact telephone number of the recipient. The courier company is not obliged to make extensive inquiries to arrange delivery.

A signature is required as a proof of delivery.

Delays in transit are the sole responsibility of the courier company, unless the delays are caused by the customer by providing incomplete or incorrect address details. Connemara Smokehouse does not accept responsibility for such delays and will not give refunds or replacement orders.

During the Christmas period standard delivery times are affected and we cannot guarantee a delivery on exactly the dates requested.

Where possible an automated email will be sent by the courier company to the customer (who placed the order), on the day of dispatch to enable the customer to track the shipment.

We cannot deliver to Australia. We deliver to most countries worldwide, but shipments to some countries can prove difficult due to customs regulations and remoteness of areas.

Shipments may be subject to local custom inspections which may incur charges and delays. These are outside our control. Local taxes and duties are to be paid by the recipient. Connemara Smokehouse cannot be held responsible for any delays in overseas deliveries due to collection of these duties and taxes, or delay at Customs.

Force Majeure

We assure our customers that we will do our best to meet their requirements. Variations or cancellations may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances such as an Act Of God, war, bad weather conditions, strike actions, labour disputes, fire, floods or other causes beyond the control of Connemara Smokehouse.
